Survivor stories

George and Leora Epp (Bangladesh)
George and Leora Epp worked as Representatives for Mennonite Central Committee in Bangladesh. They were fired by Zoom without warning in 2020 after enduring years of psychological harassment and being undermined and put at personal risk by their ADs. They repeatedly spoke out against financial mismanagement and lack of transparency in the Bangladesh program and met resistance from their supervisors and from top MCC leadership. They experienced a lack of support from HR during personally traumatic events and were pushed to return to work when they were ill.
